The Celtic striker Camilo Dur\u00e1n inspired the Scottish champions\u2019 3-0 win over Aberdeen, while Rangers snatched a 2-1 victory against Falkirk on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Dur\u00e1n has scored six goals in five matches for Martin O\u2019Neill\u2019s side after his latest eye-catching contribution at Parkhead. The Colombian netted in the 14th minute with the latest in his series of spectacular strikes since joining from Qarabag in the close-season. Dur\u00e1n collected Benjamin Nygren\u2019s pass and unleashed a long-range drive that cannoned in off the crossbar.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Neill may find it difficult to put the winger back on the flanks when the striker Kasper H\u00f8gh recovers from a thigh injury. Nygren and Yang Hyun-jun were also on target as Celtic<\/a> killed off the game before the break.<\/p>\n

Although they suffered a humiliating Champions League exit against Lask, Celtic have made a perfect start to their title defence with four successive wins. It was an emotional night in Glasgow as Kenny Dalglish was given a warm ovation on the pitch before the match. Dalglish launched his iconic career with Celtic before joining Liverpool in 1977. The 75-year-old revealed earlier this year that he was receiving treatment for cancer.<\/p>\n

Celtic are two points clear of second-place St Mirren, whose 1-0 win at Kilmarnock \u2013 their first at Rugby Park for 13 years \u2013 was secured by Fraser Taylor\u2019s maiden goal for the club in the third minute.<\/p>\n

Lawrence Shankland\u2019s double gave Rangers a dramatic win over Falkirk to ease the pressure on their manager, Derek McInnes<\/a>. With McInnes serving the first of a two-match touchline ban<\/a> (reduced from four matches) for comments made as Hearts manager last season, he watched from the stands as Shankland saved him from another chastening result.<\/p>\n

Shankland, who scored from the spot in the 1-0 win at Aberdeen on Sunday, fired Rangers ahead with a fine strike in the seventh minute. Kosta Nedeljkovic, making his first Rangers start since signing on loan from Aston Villa, turned an Ethan Ross cross into his own net to give Falkirk<\/a> an unexpected equaliser just before the break. But Scotland star Shankland, who signed from Hearts in the close-season, reduced Rangers\u2019 anxiety when he curled in the winner after 79 minutes.<\/p>\n
