On Tuesday’s America’s Got Talent Quarterfinals 3<\/a>, Kenan Thompson sat in for an absent Simon Cowell, assuming the duty of handing out the third Live Golden Buzzer of the round. Kenan chose to follow in Simon’s footsteps by awarding it to 14-year-old singer Lai Noelle, just like Simon did during the audition phase. The move sends Lai straight through to the Season 21 finals. Now the remaining 10 performers await the results of the overnight vote to determine which three acts will advance to the semifinals.<\/p>\n

They are: mashup act Acro Canine Crew, comedian Daniel Alvarez, singer Elsie, poet Guy Kelton Jones I, French acrobat Herwan Legaillard, aerial duo Holland & Sienna, singer Isaac Atkins, Canadian magician Kameron Marshall, German contortionist Maria, and musician Pynk Beard.<\/p>\n

AGT<\/a> host Terry Crews once again joined Howie Mandel, Mel B, and Sof\u00eda Vergara at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. Simon Cowell was still out of commission due to his back surgery.<\/p>\n

The AGT Live footage was handled this week by former contestant Sofie Dossi and fellow YouTuber Sam Golbach. During the run through of footage from performance night, contortionist Maria shares a touching moment with Sofie where she says that Sofie’s content helped get her through her surgeries and recovery. <\/p>\n

On the topic of having received Kenan’s Golden Buzzer, Lai says that she was stunned and that she’s “so excited” to appear in the season finale.<\/p>\n

Terry informs the audience that Simon will once again be absent for Quarterfinals 4 while he continues to recover, but in his place will be the return of beloved judge Heidi Klum.<\/p>\n

After hearing from this week’s performers about the things that ultimately pushed them into pursuing their dreams, British musicians Absolutely and Amma mash up their individual songs with series alums Detroit Youth Choir coming in to add their own vocal flare.<\/p>\n

The Top 5<\/p>\n

To reveal the acts that polled highest in the overnight vote with the American audience, Terry brings out the 10 acts in pairs where one is eliminated on the spot.<\/p>\n

Acro Canine Crew vs. Maria: The first act that America kept around a bit longer is the acrobatic crew that brings their flips together with an impressive five dog act. This marked the end of the road for contortionist Maria.<\/p>\n

Daniel Alvarez vs. Holland & Sienna: Between these two acts, the safe act is comedian Daniel who made the audience laugh with their stand-up about standing up. <\/p>\n

Pynk Beard vs. Kameron Marshall: Despite having their songs rise on the streaming charts, Pynk Beard is eliminated from the competition in favor of the card magic from the Canadian.<\/p>\n

Guy Kelton Jones I vs. Herwan Legaillard: Both Guy and Herwan are all smiles on stage, but it’s Guy’s mix of spoken word poetry and singing that earned the votes to stay in the competition. <\/p>\n

Elsie vs. Isaac Atkins: In this singer versus singer pairing, Isaac manages to capture more of America’s attention with his deep raspy voice.<\/p>\n

The Top 3<\/p>\n

The first act voted through to the the semifinal is… Kameron Marshall! Magic continues to be one of America’s favorite acts and Kameron promises something “way bigger” for his next set.<\/p>\n

The second spot in the semifinal goes to… Acro Canine Crew! The crew expresses their love for all of their supporters who have voted them through and Terry applauds his Golden Buzzer choice.<\/p>\n

The third and final act from this group to advance is… Daniel Alvarez! The comedian upsets a Golden Buzzer act to snatch his spot in the semifinal. He gets teary eyed as Mel B and Howie give him his flowers for a stellar set that America loved.<\/p>\n
