DMM Pictures<\/a> began streaming a teaser trailer for the television anime<\/a> of Nikumura Q<\/a>‘s Giant Oj\u014d-sama<\/a> (Giant Young Lady) manga with English subtitles, and it reveals the main cast and more staff.<\/p>\n

The anime will premiere in January 2027.<\/p>\n

Hiroshi Ikehata<\/a> (WITCH WATCH<\/a>) is directing the anime at Tatsunoko Production<\/a>. Katsuya Oshima<\/a> is serving as assistant director. Hajime Mitsuda<\/a> (Food for the Soul<\/a>) is the character designer and chief animation director. Y\u016b Sat\u014d<\/a> (Azur Lane: Slow Ahead!<\/a>) is handling the series composition and script. Y\u016bsuke Shirato<\/a> (Rumble Garanndoll<\/a>), Kijibato<\/a>, and Aira (Dream Monster<\/a>) are composing the music.<\/p>\n

The story centers around Oriko Fujid\u014d, the scion of an ultra-wealthy family who finds herself growing to gigantic proportions. She had received an entire town as a present on her fourth birthday, but one day, a giant invader attacks her town. Her butler Sebastian offers her a drink that transforms her into a giant, so she strives to protect her town \u2014\u00a0but just might end up destroying it, throwing the denizens’ lives into chaos.<\/p>\n

Nikumura Q has been serializing the Giant Oj\u014d-sama manga since July 2020 on Shogakukan<\/a>‘s Sunday Webry<\/a> service. Shogakukan published the manga’s 12th compiled book volume on August 10. The manga was nominated<\/a> by for best web manga in the eighth “Next Manga Awards” (Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taish\u014d) in 2022, and it ranked<\/a> #5 in AnimeJapan’s 6th “Most Wanted Anime Adaptation” poll the following year.
