The charity says it is moving to another city location better suited to its longterm needs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">The premises is in good condition, and selling agent Cearbhall Behan of BIG Property expects \u201cstrong interest\u201d from developers, owner-occupiers, and investors.<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">He described it as \u201can excellent investment opportunity\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">The premises is on a street that links Grand Parade to South Main St, where Cork City Council has invested heavily in public realm enhancements, including a \u20ac7m overhaul of Bishop Lucey Park, while also securing the future of the former Beamish Counting House which it acquired in a \u20ac35m deal earlier this year, via the same agent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">The Counting House is earmarked to become the new city library, which will free up considerable real estate on Grand Parade, leaving the current library site to be redeveloped down the line.<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">No 2 has an interesting history.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">It was previously an RIC barracks, before being attacked and burned in June 2021.
