The Oasis<\/a> reunion is thriving more than ever, with the Gallagher brothers looking like the best of friends ahead of the premiere of their new documentary<\/a>. <\/p>\n

In a sight that would have been unthinkable two years ago, Noel Gallagher<\/a> and Liam Gallagher<\/a> arrived at a Venice Film Festival<\/a> photocall on Saturday (5 September) together, posing with their arms around each other.<\/p>\n

Noel went so far as to describe Liam as \u201cdelightful\u201d \u2013\u00a0a word he conceded he \u201cnever would have thought\u201d he\u2019d say about him. <\/p>\n

Sharing an insight into their reconciliation, he told Daily Mail<\/a>: \u201cAll the little things that used to annoy us about each other have gone away. We have come out of it now as equals.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cWe get along now, we text like normal people. The music brought us together.\u201d<\/p>\n

The new documentary, titled Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger, will explore the story of their reunion, which turned into a high-profile 2025 tour. The premiere follows reports that the musician siblings will soon announce more shows for next year, which the pair appear to have been teasing this week.<\/p>\n

For the project, Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight was granted behind-the-scenes access <\/a>as once-warring brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher<\/a> rehearsed and were reunited onstage for the first time since the band\u2019s split in 2009.<\/p>\n

In a new interview, Knight, who is also writing the next James Bond film, said he believed that the brothers\u2019 getting older had helped them bury their animosity towards one another.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou start throwing all this crap away,\u201d he told the Times.<\/a> \u201cIn your twenties you\u2019re so full of it, angry and easily offended. Then you get older and realise: all that\u2019s left is who you really are.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd it became apparent, during the tour, that Noel and Liam are similar people. They\u2019re both very funny and they speak the truth.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the same interview, Knight said that Noel had \u201cno idea\u201d there would be such interest in an Oasis reunion<\/a>: \u201cThey hadn\u2019t recorded anything for years, they hadn\u2019t been promoting the old albums, but the music had been passed down through generations in their absence.\u201d<\/p>\n

Noel apparently cast doubt on the idea of the band playing stadiums. \u201cHe thought they\u2019d be playing arenas,\u201d Knight said. \u201cThe second shock came when Liam and Noel first went out on stage at Cardiff and felt the emotion. People were in tears.\u201d<\/p>\n
