Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight is currently writing the script, and Dune&#8217;s Denis Villeneuve will direct. They and the team may well already have a title in mind. Or, of course, they may just be calling it Bond 26 for now.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Most of the series have taken titles from the original Ian Fleming stories. Four of those remain unused &#8211; The Hildebrand Rarity, Risico, 007 in New York, and The Property of a Lady. Although elements from those stories have already been used in previous Bond films.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Fans have also been busy putting forward their own suggestions for potential titles. Since the accession of King Charles III in 2022, those suggestions have included On His Majesty&#8217;s Secret Service, and King &amp; Country.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">As for a release date, it&#8217;s been widely reported that the next film is likely to be released in 2028. That means it&#8217;s almost certain that this will be the biggest ever gap between films, more than the six years and four months between 1989&#8217;s Licence To Kill and 1995&#8217;s GoldenEye.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"We don&#8217;t yet know what it will be called, or have a confirmed release date.
