New Holland used the backdrop of the recent Farm Progress Show<\/a> in Boone, Iowa, to introduce its upgraded Roll-Belt 1 Series round balers<\/a> for the 2027 model year.<\/p>\n

Updates include larger rollers and bearings and a new net protection system for 5\u00d76 models, which improves baling in tough conditions<\/a> such as heavy cornstalk residue.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese Roll-Belt round baler updates are designed to make every day baling easier, more consistent and more productive. With practical improvements like net wrap protection, durability, in-cab control and factory-fit automation, we\u2019re helping operators work with greater confidence, even in demanding conditions,\u201d Alex Berwager, product go-to-market manager for New Holland North America, said in a press release.<\/p>\n

The new net protection system uses \u201celectro-hydraulic belt tension control\u201d when the bale is ejected.<\/p>\n

As the tailgate is raised, tension on the belt is reduced to stop belt movement and help prevent net wrap damage as the bale exits out the back.<\/p>\n

Three models make up the 1 Series lineup:<\/p>\n

Roll-Belt 451 with a 4\u00d75-foot bale size.<\/p>\n

Roll-Belt 461 with a 4\u00d76-foot bale size.<\/p>\n

Roll-Belt 561 with a 5\u00d76-foot bale size.<\/p>\n

All three models include an ActiveWeigh system that lets operators monitor bale weight as it\u2019s formed in the chamber.<\/p>\n

New Holland has also beefed up key wear areas with large, heavier parts for the tailgate, back wrap and follower rollers. Heavier duty bearings have also been added.<\/p>\n

MY2027 Roll-Belt 1 Series balers will also include a new, colour Bale Command 8 display option for customers who don\u2019t need full Isobus functions.<\/p>\n

A factory installed, IntelliBale automation will be provided as an option on the updated Roll-Belt 1 Series round balers<\/a>. A bale presence switch will be provided on the machine invoice to reduce dealer setup and activation time.<\/p>\n
