Aaron Hill’s conqueror Jak Jones defeated Judd Trump 6-3 to reach the final of the British Open in Cheltenham tonight.<\/p>\n
Trump \u2013 seeking a first title for seven months \u2013 had looked in fine form this week and comfortably beat world number one Zhao Xintong 5-1 in the last eight.<\/p>\n
However, Welshman Jones soon opened up a 3-1 lead after breaks of 95 and 68 before Trump dug in to take the next two frames and pull level.<\/p>\n
Jones, runner-up in the 2024 World Championship, edged back in front after a break of 59 and another half-century helped him take the eighth frame before he wrapped up a notable win to book a clash with Mark Selby.<\/p>\n
