Irish cinematographer Darran Tiernan was among the winners at the Emmy Awards in Los Angeles at the weekend.<\/p>\n
The Los Angeles-based director of photography won the Outstanding Cinematography for a Series (One Hour) award for his work on the episode Step into My Office from the Prime Video superhero series Spider-Noir.<\/p>\n
It is the Dubliner’s first Emmy win and nomination.<\/p>\n
Tiernan’s other television credits include The Penguin, Barry, Westworld, and the RT\u00c9 series Single-Handed.<\/p>\n

The Emmy Awards take place in Los Angeles over a number of nights, and the ceremonies on Saturday and Sunday focused on the behind-the-scenes categories.<\/p>\n
Apple TV’s comedy-horror Widow’s Bay led the winners at the weekend with eight awards.<\/p>\n
It was followed by DTF St Louis with six wins while The Pitt won four Emmys.<\/p>\n
Palm Royale and Margo’s Got Money Troubles both won three awards.<\/p>\n
The Primetime Emmys ceremony, hosted by Mariska Hargitay, will be held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on 14 September.<\/p>\n
