\n\t\u201cSaturday Night Live U.K.\u201d has added a new castmember for its second season<\/a> with Freddie Meredith joining the gang.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe comedian has previously starred in \u201cSuch Brave Girls\u201d and \u201cBig Boys.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMeredith, who recently won an award for best newcomer at the Edinburgh Fringe for his show \u201cNeed a Light?\u201d, joins returning castmembers Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi and Paddy Young.<\/p>\n

\n\tAccording to the bio shared by \u201cSNL U.K.\u201d, he hails from London, living just a stone\u2019s throw from the show\u2019s HQ in White City.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s a no brainer, it\u2019s the most iconic comedy show and it looks like so much fun,\u201d he said of joining the cast. \u201cIt will undoubtedly inform everything I do for the rest of my career and I can\u2019t wait for the experience. It\u2019s \u2018SNL!!!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWith the U.K. recently getting yet another new Prime Minister in the form of Andy Burnham, no doubt there are plenty of roles for the newcomer to sink his teeth into. Outgoing PM Keir Starmer was played by Fouracres<\/a> throughout the show\u2019s first season.<\/p>\n

\n\tSeason 2 launches on Sept. 12<\/a> on Sky and its streaming platform Now with Jeff Goldblum as host and CMAT as musical guest.
