It was 8.90% in the same month last year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\">The latest figures show that the overall inflation rate continued to ease, mainly as food inflation declined, while non-food inflation moved higher both month-on-month and year-on-year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\">The August inflation data indicate that price pressures remain stronger in the non-food segment, even as food prices have shown some moderation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Food inflation fell to 7.02% in August from 7.16% in July, while non-food inflation rose further.
