The Inbetweeners are back, as Netflix has announced production is under way on a third film.<\/p>\n

The film will be a continuation of the popular E4 sitcom, which aired from 2008 to 2010, followed by two films in 2011 and 2014.<\/p>\n

Actors Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison, and Joe Thomas will reprise their roles as Will McKenzie, Jay Cartwright, Neil Sutherland, and Simon Cooper.<\/p>\n

The trailer announcing the film begins with a garage door being opened and pairs of feet making their way towards a car, revealed to be Simon’s yellow Fiat Cinquecento.<\/p>\n

The four men are then seen in the car and Simon says: “Ah, for f**** sake” when it fails to start.<\/p>\n

He then gets the engine going and drives the car out of the garage with the number ‘3’ written on the rear windscreen.<\/p>\n

The trailer ends with the announcement: “Now in production.”<\/p>\n

The Inbetweeners creators Damon Beesley and Iain Morris will return to write and direct the film.<\/p>\n

Beesley and Morris said: “It’s been super-fun hanging out with our friends again, and we’re going to work hard every week to ensure there are no problemos making this new film for humans.”<\/p>\n

The coming-of-age comedy, which also starred Emily Atack, followed the misadventures of the four friends at the fictional Rudge Park Comprehensive as they navigated school life, friendship, and failed sexual encounters.<\/p>\n

The first film grossed $88 million and the second earned $63.8 million at the global box office.<\/p>\n
