(WFIE) &#8211; It\u2019s not often a piece of Beatles history has an Evansville connection, but it turns out one has surfaced after 62 years. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Dale Roberts has a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=0F3YXn8nxlw\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=0F3YXn8nxlw\">YouTube channel<\/a> with stories about Liverpool, and his most recent episode shares the story of a lost George Harrison interview that originally aired on WJPS in Evansville. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" fetchpriority=\"low\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"A photo of young George Harrison that is on display inside his childhood home\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/BE7UUOE33VDODIBBYP6KYD557A.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"1015\" \/>A photo of young George Harrison that is on display inside his childhood home(Dale Roberts)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The interview was on February 17, 1964, the day after The Beatles\u2019 second performance on the Ed Sullivan show. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">George was speaking by phone from Florida. He was 20 years old. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Watch 14 News when we are live, right here: <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The interview was found on a record that was in some memorabilia belonging to George\u2019s sister, Louise, who lived in Benton, Illinois. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Her friend, Warren Batts, restored the quality, and the six minute interview was recently played inside George\u2019s childhood home in Liverpool. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">It\u2019s the same home where the Beatles sometimes held rehearsals, and tours are now given to the public. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">You can hear the interview and more about how it was discovered in Roberts\u2019 video at the top of this story. <\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WFIE.
