Diego and Denis both play a role in banishing P\u00e1uric K<\/p>\nWe can\u2019t quite believe we are writing this, but the Faithfuls have got another Traitor.<\/p>\n
We are just four banishments in, and three Traitors have been banished.<\/p>\n
On Monday, suspicions of P\u00e1raic K started early, with 27-year-old postal worker Anna flagging that the lecturer seemed \u201cwrecked\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cCarla is my other one that I want to look at,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe looks tired,\u201d Diageo agreed. \u201cAnd she\u2019s like, \u2018I\u2019m so confused!\u2019\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
There is barely anyone sat enjoying their croissants when Siobh\u00e1n walks through the door to a collective gasp.<\/p>\n
Faithfuls Sam, Janet, DJ, Donal, Denis and Ian have been placed on death row. The remaining players are told they will play a big role in deciding which of them does not return.<\/p>\n
S\u00e9an C takes charge in the castle, asking everyone to name who they believe are the three \u201cstrongest\u201d Faithfuls. Group consensus? Denis, Janet and Ian.<\/p>\n
Well, consensus sans Aoife, who isn\u2019t saying much. The trainee fashion buyer is a suspected Traitor, and she is struggling with feeling she is constantly being examined and mistrusted. When David acknowledges \u201cit must be hard for you today\u201d, she leaves the room in tears, clearly a bit overwhelmed.<\/p>\n
\u201cNot to be blunt,\u201d Pauric O says, \u201cbut that\u2019s three days in a row there\u2019s been tears. We have to look at that.\u201d<\/p>\n
For this episode\u2019s mission, the Traitors have put those on death row in pairs: Sam and Donal, DJ and Denis, and Ian and Janet.<\/p>\n
The remaining players must choose one pair they\u2019re willing to fight for. They can then compete in a quiz \u2013 as Gaeilge! \u2013 and those who get the answers right will earn money for their chosen pair. The pair with the most money at the end of the game will be saved from death row.<\/p>\n
Pauric O starts getting tetchy with some of his fellow players when not everyone decides to place their gold bars in Ian and Janet\u2019s bucket.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe came in with a plan,\u201d he protests. \u201cWe agreed we\u2019d save Janet and Ian.\u201d Kayleigh pushes back, saying they hadn\u2019t all agreed, actually. Somewhat reluctantly, the players do agree, in the end, to prioritise saving that pair.<\/p>\n
With tensions flaring in the SUVs back to base, stay-at-home dad David tries to play peacemaker.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s not the message, it\u2019s the delivery,\u201d he tells Pauric O, but he doesn\u2019t want to hear it.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf I was his girlfriend, I\u2019d have him by the fucking balls,\u201d Kayleigh fumes.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I am going down, I am taking a Traitor with me,\u201d Denis announces at the round table, immediately pointing to P\u00e1raic K.<\/p>\n
\u201cFirst point, exhaustion. Murdering is a nocturnal activity. Second point. Traitors tend to over-volunteer information to preempt suspicion or attack. You came up to me yesterday and you told me you were anxious. Really interesting. When do I see you most anxious? Here, at this round table. You are passive, you are quiet, but you are fully activated. You\u2019re energised but you\u2019re not sharing anything.\u201d Round of applause for Denis \u2013 the psychotherapist training is being put to good use now!<\/p>\n
His partner Diageo jumps in to add that he spotted him \u201cshaking\u201d before the last round table.<\/p>\n
\u201cCould that be because you were about to go against your fellow Traitor?\u201d he wonders.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou\u2019ve mentioned the phrase double bluff more than anyone. You\u2019re obsessed with the double bluff,\u201d S\u00e9an C adds.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhy were those six people picked? A lot of us have heat on Donal, we\u2019ve constantly been saying one Traitor there, one Traitor at the castle, that\u2019s the obvious thing. We\u2019re looking at those six, thinking the most likely [Traitor] is Donal due to the heat. Why would Donal put himself in that situation? It\u2019s too obvious. Then I thought, whoa, what\u2019s that? That\u2019s a double bluff.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Aoife, however, isn\u2019t quite out of the crossfire, so S\u00e9an suggests the two take the opportunity to plead their case before the group makes a decision.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf I stand up there and say I am a Traito-eh-Faithful,” P\u00e1raic K starts.<\/p>\n
Ah lads.<\/p>\n
It’s all over. P\u00e1raic K is out. There is just one Traitor left, and we all know it can\u2019t be left that way.<\/p>\n
Carla chooses to blackmail Aoife \u2013 be murdered here and now, or allow yourself to be thrown under the bus for me. That bit isn’t said out loud, of course, but surely it’s obvious?\u00a0<\/p>\n
