Liverpool have confirmed Turkish Airlines will be their new front-of-shirt sponsor.<\/p>\n
The airline carrier becomes the sixth commercial branding deal in Anfield history with a five-year agreement taking effect from the start of the 2027\/28 campaign.<\/p>\n
Current sponsor Standard Chartered\u2019s deal was due to expire at the end of this season with the Reds exploring options a first new shirt sponsor after 16 years.<\/p>\n
However the banking giant will remain part of the club\u2019s commercial portfolio, as their predecessor Carlsberg has done since its own lengthy deal ended in 2010.<\/p>\n
The new arrangement is also set to break Premier League shirt sponsorship records with the deal understood to be worth in the region of \u00a360 million annually.<\/p>\n
Arsenal\u2019s recent \u00a370M renewal of their sponsorship with Emirates also incorporates stadium naming rights and training wear branding rather than just the shirt itself.<\/p>\n
Ben Latty, Liverpool\u2019s chief commercial officer, said: \u201cThe front of the Liverpool shirt holds a special place in the history of our club.<\/p>\n
\u201cTurkish Airlines is a globally recognised organisation with an extensive international network, and we look forward to beginning our partnership and building a strong relationship together, with already strong foundations built from those special memories back in 2005.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis announcement also provides an opportunity to recognise the extraordinary contribution Standard Chartered has made to Liverpool FC over the past 17 years.<\/p>\n
