{"id":619379,"date":"2026-09-09T14:38:12","date_gmt":"2026-09-09T14:38:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/619379\/"},"modified":"2026-09-09T14:38:12","modified_gmt":"2026-09-09T14:38:12","slug":"anysignal-lands-spot-on-apex-bus-menu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/619379\/","title":{"rendered":"AnySignal Lands Spot on Apex Bus Menu"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">RF startup AnySignal formalized its partnership with bus manufacturer Apex, allowing customers to add its\u00a0AnyLink network and radios to the purchase of Apex\u2019s platforms.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMaking it clear to the customers that if they just use AnyLink and the underlying software components, a lot of things get easier,\u201d AnySignal cofounder and CEO John Malsbury told Payload. \u201cIt just became an obvious thing to do once it was well proven.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The companies did not disclose the value of the deal. AnySignal also sells AnyLink to other bus manufacturers.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Going steady: The partnership between AnySignal and Apex dates back to Apex\u2019s earliest missions, according to Malsbury, when AnySignal proved its AnyLink tech on Apex buses across multiple missions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The companies say the new partnerships offer customers:<\/p>\n<p>Optional telemetry, tracking, and command capabilities;A single provider from mission design, through to on-orbit operations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cApex provides spacecraft platform capabilities to our customers, who use the variety of ground options that exist today for operations,\u201d Apex CEO and cofounder Ian Cinnamon told Payload via email. \u201cFor some customers, onboarding a ground segment as part of Apex\u2019s offering is an area where we can significantly streamline their mission.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Roam free: AnyLink aggregates ground networks from several companies\u2014including KSAT, Leaf Space, and RBC Signals\u2014into a single, optimized path for operators.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Malsbury compared it to a phone plan. The space norm is buying a radio from a single vendor, leasing ground segment from another, securing an FCC license, and writing software to tie the pieces together. \u201cImagine if you had to do that with your cell phone,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A phone roams between towers without the user noticing, he said, and AnyLink does the same across ground providers.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AnySignal has flown nine missions, per Malsbury, and employs ~80 people at its facility in Torrance, CA.
