The mother of a woman found dead in a Dublin park has hit out at false claims that her daughter was killed by a “migrant” – after she featured in a viral video that made that claim.Mother-of-two Natasha Kernan Connors, who is originally from Sandyford, was discovered dead at Ravensdale Park in Kimmage on August 25th.Gardai are investigating Natasha\u2019s suspicious death – but it is understood they are not looking for anyone foreign in the case and believe it may be homicide.<\/p>\n
Foul play was initially not suspected, but following a post-mortem examination an incident room was set up at Crumlin Garda Station and gardai have appealed for witnesses to come forward.It is understood the young woman\u2019s family are aware of the developments but have been left horrified by a viral video in which her mother was featured with individuals who made the false claims.In the video her mother Yvonne states that they are \u201cputting my baby out there,\u201d before a woman asks her why and tells her to \u201csay it.\u201d Yvonne is heard saying \u201cno\u201d in the clip, which was later shared by far-right activists – and stating that she was \u201cafraid to because of the guards.\u201dThe other woman in the video then says \u201cf*ck the garda I\u2019ll say it,\u201d before claiming Natasha \u201cwas unalived by a migrant.\u201d But in a subsequent comment on social media platform Tiktok, and confirmed to the Irish Mirror by Natasha\u2019s mother as being authentic – Yvonne said the claims made in the video were false.\u201cIt wasn\u2019t a migrant, yous know nothing. I\u2019m going through emotions. You seen my vulnerability and you used it for your content. My baby girl is gone,\u201d she wrote. \u201cThick as two planks do you both realise what you have caused don\u2019t talk about my baby girl again both of yous don\u2019t text me or my daughter,\u201d she continued.\u201cI\u2019m grieving for my baby girl and my heart is broken. Being drunk is no excuse. Leave me alone and keep away from me – end of. Totally disgusted.”<\/p>\n
When contacted Ms Connors confirmed her post and declined to comment further at this time.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile a man who appeared in the video and featured it on his Tiktok profile as issued an apology for his involvement in it – and to Natasha\u2019s mother.The user said: “There was a post put up on my page last night. It was taken down two and a half hours later but by then it had gone to the point where people were being really vicious and it turned really nasty. So I am just saying I took it down and I apologise to anyone that was offended, to the family members, it was done in drunken anger if you know what I mean by people.<\/p>\n
“To the mother of the girl who was in the video with us and to the other girl, it was anger guys, it was drunken anger and it was done in stupidity and I\u2019m apologising for my part in it for letting it go onto my page and me being in it.\u201dTributes have previously poured out on social media for Natasha – with her sister Kym writing on Facebook: \u201cMy beautiful sister, no words can explain the pain I feel losing you. You were my best friend and I\u2019ll miss you every day. Until we meet again, fly high my angel, in the arms of dad again.\u201dHer mother Yvonne meanwhile posted: \u201cI can\u2019t believe I\u2019m writing this but you are in the arms of your Daddy, your nanny and grandad and uncle Edward. God has took the most beautiful angel up to heaven. You are my baby and wil always be my little baby girl. We loved each other so much.\u201cAll the things we planned to do when you came home we didn\u2019t get the chance to do. My heart is completely broken. I just can\u2019t believe you have been took from me. You will be sadly missed and never ever forgotten.\u201d<\/p>\n
