A man has been killed following a collision involving a van and a jeep in Co Wexford in the early hours of today.<\/p>\n

The incident, involving a passenger van and a jeep, happened at around 1.10am on the N25 at Ballykelly near Drinagh.<\/p>\n

The driver of the van, a male aged in his 60s, was fatally injured in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

His body has been removed to the morgue at Wexford General Hospital, where a post-mortem examination is set to take place.<\/p>\n

A passenger in one of the vehicles was also brought to the Wexford General Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

A man, aged in his 40s, was arrested by the garda\u00ed at the scene on suspicion of offences under the Road Traffic Act.<\/p>\n

He is currently detained at a Garda station in Wexford, a Garda spokesperson said.<\/p>\n

The road remains closed, with local diversions in place, and the scene is preserved for a technical examination by Garda forensic collision investigators.<\/p>\n

Garda\u00ed are now appealing to anyone who might have witnessed the collission to contact them.<\/p>\n

Any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling on the N25 between 12.30am and 1.30am today are asked to make this footage available to investigating garda\u00ed.<\/p>\n
