\n\tAccording to gaming industry market research firm Newzoo<\/a>\u2018s \u201cGlobal Games Market Report 2026,\u201d gamers are eager to return to Vice City: the game tops the \u201cadventure\u201d genre on pre-order revenue alone, months ahead of its November launch. <\/p>\n \n\tMeanwhile, Sony\u2019s PlayStation is leading the reacceleration in console player growth, while the decline in sales of Nintendo\u2019s original Switch device offsets most of the net gain from the growing Switch 2 install base. Without \u201cGTA 6<\/a>,\u201d Newzoo says console revenue would be expected to decline year over year.<\/p>\n \n\tThe report suggests that as the video game market matures, growth depends less on new titles and new players and more on how long the hits and the audiences around them can be sustained.\u00a0Per the research, \u201cGrand Theft Auto V\u201d still ranks among the top-selling video game titles, 13 years after release.<\/p>\n \n\tAmong the 3.7-billion-gamer community analyzed in Newzoo\u2019s data, Gez Z remains the prevailing audience on PC in 2026 while Gen Alpha is the demographic growing the most quickly and expanding their share of the PC player base.\u00a0<\/p>\n
