\n\t\u201cAvatar: Seven Havens<\/a>\u201d will drop its first season in batches of three episodes per week. <\/p>\n

\n\tAs previously announced<\/a>, the new entry in the \u201cAvatar: The Last Airbender\u201d universe will debut on Oct. 9 on Paramount+<\/a>. Now, Paramount has confirmed that the first three episodes of the first season (or Book 1 in \u201cAvatar\u201d parlance) will premiere on that date, followed by three more episodes each Friday through Oct. 30. Paramount has already greenlit a 13-episode Book 2, the exact premiere date of which will be announced at a later date. <\/p>\n

\n\tThere is also a new trailer for the highly-anticipated series, which can be seen below. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe logline for \u201cSeven Havens\u201d states: <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cSet in a world shattered by a devastating cataclysm, \u2018Avatar: Seven Havens\u2019 follows Pavi, a young Earthbender who discovers she\u2019s the new Avatar after Korra, only to find that in this dangerous era, that title marks her as humanity\u2019s destroyer, not its savior. Hunted by both human and spirit enemies, Pavi and her long-lost twin Nisha must uncover their mysterious origins and save the Seven Havens before civilization\u2019s last strongholds collapse.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe voice cast includes Saheli Khan as Pavi, Aishu Devan as Nisha, Akshay Khanna as Karthik, Major Curda as Jae, Sakina Jaffrey as Agam, Darren Barnet as Daemin, Dianne Doan as Zi, and Dee Bradley Baker as Geet and Ruhi.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAvatar: Seven Havens\u201d is created by franchise masterminds Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, who also serve as executive producers via Avatar Studios. Ethan Spaulding is an executive producer as well, with Sehaj Sethi as co-executive producer. Nickelodeon and Avatar Studios produce.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Oct. 9 premiere date was originally earmarked for the film \u201cAvatar Aang: The Last Airbender,\u201d before that release was moved up to July 25 after the movie leaked online earlier this year<\/a>. It debuted on Paramount+ directly following a special screening at San Diego Comic-Con. <\/p>\n

\n\tIn an interview with Variety<\/a> around the release of the film, Konietzko spoke about the South Asian influences of \u201cSeven Havens.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe concept and even the word \u2018avatar\u2019 all come from Indian culture and tradition and Sanskrit,\u201d he said. \u201cSo we had done a bit in \u2018Avatar,\u2019 the original series. We\u2019re obviously inspired by and draw from a lot of real world cultures for our fantasy world. But that said, I kind of felt like with the first two series, we had underserved that inspiration, and so it was very deliberate with Seven Havens to to code Pavi as a South Asian-inspired character.\u201d <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"\u201cAvatar: Seven Havens\u201d will drop its first season in batches of three episodes per week.
