Coronation Street\u2019s Summer Spellman<\/a> is asked out on a date next week, after a chance meeting with a mystery man! Who is the new character hoping to win Summer\u2019s heart?<\/p>\n

At Roy\u2019s, Summer receives a compliment about one of her drawings from a lad called Marco. Then, when Summer leaves her notepad unattended, Marco rips out a page and hurries off with it!<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not until Summer passes the tattoo shop that she discovers where her illustration has ended up\u2026<\/p>\n

“What an unusual chain of events,” reveals our Weatherfield insider. “Summer leaves her drawings on the table while she goes to the bathroom, then when she comes back, one of them has disappeared.<\/p>\n

“She can\u2019t figure out why, until she sees her art in the window of the tattoo parlour! It\u2019s that realisation that leads Summer back into Marco\u2019s orbit\u2026”<\/p>\n

Outside the shop, Summer confronts Marco and declares that he stole her design. But Marco quickly explains that he only did it as an excuse to see her again, and that he would like to buy her drawing, so they should meet up for a drink! Will Summer accept his offer?<\/p>\n

“Summer has been single for a while now,” says our source. “She\u2019s been through a lot over the last several months<\/a>, so that makes sense, but now things have quietened down, it could be the right time to start dating again.”<\/p>\n

Will Summer decide to give Marco a shot? And if so, could he the right guy for her? <\/p>\n

Marco is played by newcomer Will Teasdale<\/a>, and this week the actor shared a post on Instagram to announce his exciting new role in the ITV soap, ahead of his very first scenes airing next week.<\/p>\n

He wrote: “Still feels a bit mad saying this but\u2026 I will be joining the insanely talented cast of Coronation Street!<\/p>\n

“Absolutely buzzing and still pinching myself to be honest! I am so grateful and thankful to have been offered this role, and to be a part of this incredible team! I know how special this is and I owe so much to so, so many incredible people. Much love as always and see you on\u2019t cobbles.”<\/p>\n
