The company operated from Dublin&#8217;s Lad Lane and operated strictly as a chocolate manufacturer for decades before expanding to high-end coffee.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today, there are 30 caf\u00e9s across Ireland, with the brand expanding globally, with locations across the UK, South Asia and the Middle East.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Thursday, bosses at Butlers Chocolate confirmed the closure of their Clonshaugh location as of Friday, September 11, but it&#8217;s only temporary!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"650\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/IMG_7395.jpg\" alt=\"Number One Ballsbridge Urban Oasis Butler's Chocolate Cafe Dublin City Centre\" class=\"wp-image-1587851\"  \/>Prior to the first caf\u00e9, Marion Butler founded the company in 1932. Pic: Supplied<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A statement from the brand detailed that the temporary closure was due to renovations, and the Butlers Chocolate Caf\u00e9 trailer would be outside Butlers Chocolate HQ as an alternative.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company said: &#8216;Our store in Clonshaugh will close on the evening of Friday, September 11th, for refurbishment. A fabulous new caf\u00e9 will be coming later this year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8216;During this time, the Butlers Chocolate Caf\u00e9 trailer will be open outside the Home of Butlers Chocolates. The trailer will open on Saturday, September 12th, at 9am.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The statement urged fans to keep an eye on their social media pages for updates on the new Clonshaugh caf\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company captioned the post: &#8216;We&#8217;re closing&#8230; but not for long.
