{"id":621299,"date":"2026-09-11T10:22:11","date_gmt":"2026-09-11T10:22:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/621299\/"},"modified":"2026-09-11T10:22:11","modified_gmt":"2026-09-11T10:22:11","slug":"new-bern-to-dedicate-2-community-painted-downtown-murals-this-weekend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/621299\/","title":{"rendered":"New Bern to dedicate 2 community-painted downtown murals this weekend"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NEW BERN, Craven County \u2014 Craven Arts Council\/Bank of the Arts will celebrate the completion of 2 new downtown New Bern murals this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The murals, titled \u201cFrom Firehouse to Landmark\u201d and \u201cParty Animals,\u201d were developed over the past several months at The Chelsea and The Flying Fox.<\/p>\n<p>The first dedication ceremony is scheduled for 4:15 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at The Chelsea, 335 Middle St.<\/p>\n<p>A second ceremony will follow at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, at The Flying Fox, 411 Broad St.<\/p>\n<p>The public helped create both works during a Community Paint Day in May.
