{"id":621933,"date":"2026-09-12T00:26:10","date_gmt":"2026-09-12T00:26:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/621933\/"},"modified":"2026-09-12T00:26:10","modified_gmt":"2026-09-12T00:26:10","slug":"westport-native-appointed-to-senior-role-with-eirgrid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/621933\/","title":{"rendered":"Westport native appointed to senior role with EirGrid"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A Westport native involved in helping shape Ireland\u2019s future energy system has been appointed to a senior role with EirGrid.<\/p>\n<p>Lauren Scates has more\u2026..<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.midwestradio.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/MORANEIRGRID.wav\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.midwestradio.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/MORANEIRGRID.wav<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Liam Moran has been named Director and Group Financial Controller with the organisation, which operates and develops Ireland\u2019s national electricity grid.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">He previously worked as Head of Financial Reporting with EirGrid, having joined the company in 2021.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Liam began his career with KPMG after graduating from the University of Galway with a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
