{"id":623181,"date":"2026-09-13T07:28:48","date_gmt":"2026-09-13T07:28:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/623181\/"},"modified":"2026-09-13T07:28:48","modified_gmt":"2026-09-13T07:28:48","slug":"trips-made-outside-of-ireland-down-by-3-in-q2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/623181\/","title":{"rendered":"Trips made outside of Ireland down by 3% in Q2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New figures from the Central Statistics Office show that the total number of overnight trips outside of Ireland in the second quarter of this year fell by 3% to 4.1 million compared to the same time last year.<\/p>\n<p>The CSO said that Irish residents spent a total of 22.6 million nights on overnight trips outside of Ireland in the three months from April to June.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of these overnight trips was mainly for holidays and accounted for 72% of the total.
