{"id":623599,"date":"2026-09-13T17:20:13","date_gmt":"2026-09-13T17:20:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/623599\/"},"modified":"2026-09-13T17:20:13","modified_gmt":"2026-09-13T17:20:13","slug":"cork-man-who-concealed-crack-cocaine-in-his-mouth-fined-e300","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/623599\/","title":{"rendered":"Cork man who concealed crack cocaine in his mouth fined \u20ac300"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">Crack cocaine was concealed by a man in his mouth when garda\u00ed approached him to carry out a search.<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">Stephen Callis, aged 34, with an address at Shournagh Grove, Deanrock Estate, Togher, Cork, pleaded guilty to having the cocaine in his possession for his own use.<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">Sergeant David Fleming said the incident occurred at Drinan Street, Cork, on April 9, 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">At 10.30am that morning, Garda Laura O\u2019Connor encountered the defendant and found him to be agitated and nervous.<\/p>\n<p class=\"contextmenu Body Body\">As she approached, he appeared to conceal something in his mouth. When directed, he took it out of his mouth.
