During his Ireland visit on Saturday, Donald Trump made remarkable comments on reunification between Ireland and Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n
While speaking with a reporter, he said: “It’s going to happen eventually….. How can it be bad?”<\/p>\n
At the US Embassy in Dublin, he later added: “I actually said it would be, I think, a very cool thing. To be honest with you, I think it would be cool.”<\/p>\n
While his words were very popular with nationalists, it brought the ire of the UK’s Reform Party and the DUP in Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n
But Trump remained undeterred at the Irish Open in Doonbeg today, and doubled down on his comments.<\/p>\n
He said: “I love my comments. <\/p>\n
“You have Northern Ireland and you have Ireland and it seems to me that one of the naturals of all time would be put them together.<\/p>\n
