\n\tMany suggestions have circulated about who could be the next 007<\/a> agent in the James Bond<\/a> film franchise, and Pierce Brosnan<\/a> has a new take on where the studio could go.<\/p>\n

\n\tAuditions for the role in the Denis Villeneuve film are already underway and have taken place over the summer<\/a>, and Brosnan recently said there are \u201clots of great actors\u201d up for the role, but he thinks they might cast someone unknown.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI have no desire to see myself in Bond. I\u2019m just a member of the audience now awaiting the next Bond and wishing him well,\u201d Brosnan said in an interview with The Times<\/a>. \u201cThere are lots of good hats in the ring. Lots of great actors. I see it. I follow it. They could probably just go left-field and pick someone that none of us know about.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen it came to actually saying a name, Brosnan said, \u201cI wouldn\u2019t pick anyone. My wife told me not to say anything and I\u2019ve said too much. Because once I say something, it goes [everywhere] and I get hanged.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAlthough Brosnan didn\u2019t drop a name, his Thursday Murder Club co-star Tom Ellis said that the former M16 agent told him he would \u201cmake a good Bond.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHe did tell me he thought I\u2019d make a good Bond, and I was like, \u2018Pierce, I think I\u2019m probably too old now. But I\u2019ll take it from you, mate. I\u2019ll take it from you,’\u201d Ellis told Metro UK<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tBrosnan began his tenure as the 007 agent in 1995 with GoldenEye, directed by Martin Campbell. The actor would reprise his role in 1997\u2019s Tomorrow Never Dies, 1999\u2019s The World Is Not Enough, and 2002\u2019s Die Another Day. Daniel Craig succeeded Brosnan for 2006\u2019s Casino Royale and ended his tenure with 2021\u2019s No Time to Die.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn March of this year, Deadline reported that Nina Gold had closed a deal to become the casting director<\/a> for the next James Bond film.
