The faithful have been on a roll, banishing traitors left, right and centre. But Carla, one of the originals, is still hanging on.<\/p>\n

She, once again, Carla had to recruit, as Aoife was banished last week after just one day as a traitor.<\/p>\n

Pauric O, one of the feistiest faithfuls, was chosen by Carla to join her on the dark side.<\/p>\n

\u201cI need to blackmail somebody that\u2019s strong, somebody that won\u2019t turn their back on me, and someone that I think can definitely get all the way to the final,\u201d Carla said.<\/p>\n

\u201cSign me up,\u201d said Pauric O.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve never been so happy in my life to be blackmailed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cloaked up in the conclave, the pair decided the next kill needed to be someone who is suspicious of them but hasn\u2019t made those suspicions known to other faithfuls.<\/p>\n

Carla thought Ian, despite his self-proclaimed loyalty, was covertly sussing her out.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Sam had remarked to Carla: \u201cWhat? Are you going to kill me?\u201d<\/p>\n

Anna was also considered a high-risk faithful because on several occasions now she has caught traitors purely on her excellent intuition. People have learned to listen to her.<\/p>\n

Sam was chosen because of his friendship with the current traitors. \u201cIt\u2019s going to take the eye off us,\u201d Carla said.<\/p>\n

\u2018How am I not getting caught?\u2019<\/p>\n

Pete, another close friend of Sam, shed a few tears at breakfast when he realised he\u2019d been killed. \u201cHe\u2019s like my adopted son in here,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Awwww. Others weren\u2019t so heartbroken.<\/p>\n

After giving Pete a sympathetic pat on the back, Carla was back to her usual morning routine \u2013 a \u201clucky banana\u201d at breakfast, which she claims relaxes her before another day of deceit.<\/p>\n

Sat beside was her friend DJ, who calls her \u201ca bundle of Ballymun fun\u201d.<\/p>\n

He remarked that they \u201care not taking ourselves or this game seriously\u201d. Oh, DJ, how naive you are.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow am I still here? And how am I not getting caught?,\u201d Carla told producers.<\/p>\n

\u201cI genuinely didn\u2019t think I\u2019d be this good at the game.\u201d<\/p>\n

She is perhaps one of the best traitors the show has seen, but can she keep it up?<\/p>\n

Eagle-eyed Ian picked up on something crucial from the last round table.<\/p>\n

When everyone voted for Aoife, she voted for Carla. It seemed random to the faithfuls, who didn\u2019t catch the traitor-on-traitor snipe.<\/p>\n

However, Ian remembered how, when it was clear she was going to be banished, Aoife looked at him and tapped her chalkboard. He now thinks this was her signalling to him that Carla was a traitor, which she would know since it was revealed that she was one too.<\/p>\n

Today\u2019s mission was themed around the seven deadly sins: wrath, greed, pride, envy, sloth, lust and gluttony.<\/p>\n

Seven players had to guess which of them the traitors would think committed each sin during gameplay. Each correct answer got them \u20ac500 for the prize pot.<\/p>\n

They struggled a bit, with traitor Pauric O purposefully sabotaging some answers, but they managed to collect \u20ac2,000 out of a possible \u20ac3,500.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the other players were at afternoon tea. After a feed of sandwiches, scones and cakes, they were summoned one by one to the chapel, where presenter Siobh\u00e1n McSweeney was waiting for them.<\/p>\n

They were each offered a shield, which would protect them from being murdered, in exchange for knocking \u20ac200 off the sum the other players won in the mission.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cNo one will know that it\u2019s you who bought it,\u201d they were told.<\/p>\n

Anna, Donal, DJ, and Carla all rejected the offer, as the group had pledged to. However, Diego took the trade and lied when questioned.<\/p>\n

This meant the prize money was reduced to \u20ac1,800.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIt really pissed a lot of people off,\u201d said Anna, who immediately suspected Diego. \u201cIt was all over his face.\u201d<\/p>\n

Diego, trying to appear innocent, went as far as emptying out his pockets to show he had no shield. The pantomime didn\u2019t save him.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnna\u2019s look to me was so vicious,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Donal zoned in on Diego\u2019s reaction when the group was told the shield was taken, saying he didn\u2019t look angry like everyone else did.<\/p>\n

\u2018Under the radar\u2019<\/p>\n

To kick off the roundtable, Pete brought up Janet\u2019s behaviour at breakfast after they found out Sam was killed. He said she was \u201claughing away like nothing happened\u201d.<\/p>\n

Her defence? She just wasn\u2019t that sad about his death.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wasn\u2019t that close with Sam in this game. I think he\u2019s a lovely guy, but that just didn\u2019t bother me,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sorry that I didn\u2019t particularly care.\u201d That\u2019s cold, Janet.<\/p>\n

She had earlier told Donal she was suspicious of Pete, which got back to him.<\/p>\n

Her logic was that she and Pete are \u201cthe most popular players in the game\u201d, so the traitors likely recruited one of them, and it wasn\u2019t her.<\/p>\n

She told him that if she was banished, people would find out she\u2019s a faithful, and he\u2019d \u201clook like a horrible person\u201d. Pete said he was simply asking questions, which is the point of the roundtable.<\/p>\n

David and Pete were also suspicious of each other.<\/p>\n

Last week, David\u2019s name was circulating, as his fellow faithfuls thought he\u2019d stiffened as the game went on, suggesting he was a nervous new recruit. He spent much of the episode arguing his case any chance he got.<\/p>\n

But one slip up proved fatal. In conversation earlier, David accidentally said he was a traitor instead of a faithful, but he quickly corrected himself. Unfortunately, with suspicion already high, there was no recovering from that.<\/p>\n

All but two players (including himself) voted for him to be banished.<\/p>\n

There were tears after he revealed in his final speech that he was a faithful.<\/p>\n

Not only did the faithful waste a banishment, but they lost a very sound player.<\/p>\n

They weren\u2019t deflated for long. Se\u00e1n C began musing on whom the traitors are if David isn\u2019t one of them.<\/p>\n

He put together what no player had before: Aoife wasn\u2019t an original traitor, she was a recruit, and one of the originals was still murdering.<\/p>\n

He brought up Carla\u2019s name, saying she \u201cgoes under the radar\u201d and \u201cbarely says anything\u201d.<\/p>\n

Are Carla\u2019s days numbered, or will she and Pauric O go all the way to victory?
