{"id":624361,"date":"2026-09-14T12:34:12","date_gmt":"2026-09-14T12:34:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/624361\/"},"modified":"2026-09-14T12:34:12","modified_gmt":"2026-09-14T12:34:12","slug":"e14-7m-secured-for-four-letterkenny-regeneration-projects","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/624361\/","title":{"rendered":"\u20ac14.7M secured for four Letterkenny regeneration projects"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u20ac14.7million has been secured for four major Letterkenny regeneration projects, in what has been described as a &#8216;significant day for Donegal&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Announced by Minister James Browne, under the  \u20ac409 million Towns and Cities Regeneration Investment Fund, Donegal County Council has secured \u20ac9 million for Letterkenny Transport Hub \u2013 Cat 1B and \u20ac5.4 million for Letterkenny Cultural Corridor \u2013 Cat 1B.<\/p>\n<p>They have also been granted \u20ac150,000 for Phase 2 of the LK Green Connect Phase 2 \u2013 Cat 1A, as well as another \u20ac150,000 for &#8216;Into Letterkenny \u2013 Cat 1A.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Donegal Deputy Pat the Cope Gallagher described Minister James Browne&#8217;s funding announcement as a  &#8216;landmark and long overdue investment in communities that have waited far too long for meaningful regeneration.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Gallagher said: &#8220;This is a significant day for Donegal. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The inclusion of key Donegal projects in this national programme is a strong endorsement of the work being done locally to revitalise our towns, support community infrastructure, and tackle long standing vacancy and underinvestment.<\/p>\n<p>He continued: &#8220;These projects will deliver real change for Letterkenny and the wider region. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;From improved public spaces and safer, more accessible streets to major cultural and transport infrastructure, this funding has the potential to reshape Donegal\u2019s largest town for the next generation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-sans font-semibold text-xl md:text-[30px] leading-9 text-primary w-full\">\n        You may also be interested in\n    <\/p>\n<p>            <a href=\"https:\/\/www.donegaldaily.com\/news\/buncrana-fundraising-swim-to-honour-one-in-a-million-bridie-649484\" class=\"block w-2\/5 shrink-0\" aria-label=\"Buncrana fundraising swim to honour &#039;one in a million&#039;
