Before that, he was with Google in Britain, working with brands and agencies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">\u201cPinterest has built a uniquely differentiated platform for users and advertisers alike, engineered to move people from inspiration to real-life action,\u201d said Gillespie. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">He will take up the role from September 18th, succeeding Caroline Orange-Northey, who left the business in the summer. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Pinterest is increasingly focused on its international expansion. More than 80 per cent of the platform\u2019s monthly active users are based outside North America, with revenue in Europe growing 12 per cent year on year in the second quarter of the year. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"c-image audio_image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/1789432338_379_1784803479672-9ae96ac7-c636-4bcb-998c-c0aedcc60931.jpeg\"\/>From kitchen counter to supermarket shelves, the rise of Ballymaloe Foods<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Pinterest opened its Irish office in 2016 with one employee. It now operates as the firm\u2019s European headquarters, the Middle East and Africa, and in 2024 moved into new offices that could accommodate up to 300 staff. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">In Britain, Pinterest recently opened a new office in London and has had strong engagement with brands and advertisers such as Levi\u2019s, Primark and Samsung.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">As part of his new role, Gillespie will drive the company\u2019s business in the region.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">\u201cThe UK is a strategically important market for Pinterest and a key part of our broader international growth story.
