\n\tDavid Harbour<\/a> returned to the Emmys red carpet on Monday to discuss all things \u201cDTF: St. Louis\u201d and what he\u2019s up to next, including \u201cAvengers: Doomsday\u201d and his forthcoming show with Millie Bobby Brown.<\/p>\n

\n\tHarbour will return as Alexei Shostakov, also known as the Red Guardian, in \u201cAvengers: Doomsday\u201d when it hits theaters on Dec. 18. On the carpet, he told Variety what it\u2019s been like to work closely with Robert Downey Jr.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThat guy is a creative powerhouse, so unpredictable\u2026 It\u2019s just a joy,\u201d he said. \u201cThe movies are such a joy to work on, like \u2018Thunderbolts*,\u2019 \u2018Black Widow.\u2019 So to have us all come together, you have these very surreal moments where I\u2019ve watched these movies for 10 years, and I\u2019ve cheered in the audience when Captain America gets the hammer or whatever, and so to be on set when things like that are happening is just surreal and amazing. I\u2019m a fan and an actor.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHe also discussed his future untitled project with \u201cStranger Things\u201d costar Millie Bobby Brown. While the plot remains unknown, the pair will return to their father-daughter dynamic. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI feel like one day we\u2019ll tell you what it\u2019s about, but I don\u2019t think today is that day,\u201d Harbour said. \u201cAll I can say is that we are, we do have this father-daughter dynamic that I think we play very well and are very interested in. And she\u2019s now in her 20s, and I think in \u2018Stranger Things\u2019 we explored a lot of teen things, and now we want to explore like, what does it mean to father someone in their 20s who\u2019s going through all kinds of things, and she\u2019s going through all kinds of things, and what does family mean? At its core, it has an incredible propulsive engine with action and entertainment and Jack Thorne is writing it, he\u2019s a master, and I\u2019m just so excited for us to start working.\u201d<\/p>\n
