A man aged in his 60s has died following a four-vehicle crash in Co Tipperary yesterday evening.<\/p>\n
The collision, involving a van and three cars, happened on the R688 at Cooper’s Lot in Cashel at around 5.40pm.<\/p>\n
The man was the driver of one of the cars and was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out at University Hospital Waterford.<\/p>\n
The driver of the van, a man aged in his 40s, was seriously injured and is being treated at Tipperary University Hospital in Clonmel.<\/p>\n
No other injuries were reported at the time.<\/p>\n
The road is currently closed for a technical examination, with local diversions in place.<\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to come forward.<\/p>\n
Road users who were travelling in the area of Cooper\u2019s Lot, Cashel, Co Tipperary between 5pm and 6pm yesterday and who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make it available to garda\u00ed.<\/p>\n
