A man in his 30s has died following a two-vehicle collision on the M4 at Enfield, Co Meath this afternoon.<\/p>\n
The incident occurred at 2.30pm today at Junction 9 on the M4 westbound.<\/p>\n
The man, who was the driver of one of the vehicles, was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
His body has since been removed to the local mortuary where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.<\/p>\n
A woman, also in her 30s, was brought to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.<\/p>\n
The road remains closed this evening pending an examination by Garda Forensic Collision investigators. Local diversions are in place.<\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to come forward.<\/p>\n
Any road users who were travelling on the M4 near Junction 9 at Enfield between 2pm and 3pm today and who may have camera footage including dash-cam, are asked to make it available to investigating Garda\u00ed.<\/p>\n
