Here are the details.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As long-time Apple Watch users probably know, watchOS is likely the first to wish them happy birthday every year. At midnight, a \u201cHappy Birthday!\u201d notification appears, accompanied by the same fireworks animation Apple uses to ring in the New Year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now, as spotted by X user <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/tiinox83\/status\/2099042625307246607?s=46\" rel=\"nofollow\">Tiino-X83<\/a>, iOS 27 displays the same animation inside a banner when calling a contact whose birthday is saved in the Contacts app.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Interestingly, Apple\u2019s full release notes for <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2026\/09\/10\/watchos-27-here-are-apples-full-release-notes-for-new-update\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">watchOS 27<\/a> say the Apple Watch Smart Stack will now also surface \u201cbirthday reminders for a close contact,\u201d making birthdays a surprisingly recurring theme across the company\u2019s 2027 system updates.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Did you spot any other little tidbits like this in this week\u2019s updates?
