{"id":625869,"date":"2026-09-16T00:36:09","date_gmt":"2026-09-16T00:36:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/625869\/"},"modified":"2026-09-16T00:36:09","modified_gmt":"2026-09-16T00:36:09","slug":"oshea-and-manley-to-lead-ireland-teams-for-shinty-hurling-camogie-matches","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/625869\/","title":{"rendered":"O&#8217;Shea and Manley to lead Ireland teams for Shinty-Hurling\/Camogie matches"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/soundcloud.com\/officialgaa\/gaa-ie-interview-ireland\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Click here<\/a> to listen to an interview with Ireland Shinty-Hurling team manager Eamon O&#8217;Shea.<\/p>\n<p>The management teams for the 2026 Shinty-Hurling\/Camogie Internationals have been confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>Male and female teams will take on their Scottish counterparts in the hybrid sport, in a double-header at SuperValu P\u00e1irc U\u00ed Chaoimh on Saturday 24 October.<\/p>\n<p>The women\u2019s Shinty-Camogie International will begin at 4pm, before the men\u2019s Shinty-Hurling International takes place at 6pm.<\/p>\n<p>Former Tipperary senior hurling manager, Eamon O\u2019Shea will take charge of the men\u2019s team.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, 2026 All-Ireland winning manager with Cork, Ger Manley, will manage the women&#8217;s team. Manley, who previously represented Ireland as a player, also managed the Camogie team to victory in Inverness in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Eamon O\u2019Shea said: \u201cThe management team and myself really looking forward to the challenge. It is foremost an opportunity for our hurlers across the country to showcase their skills in an international environment. The game against Scotland will be exciting, fast and skillful. No better place than P\u00e1irc Ui Chaoimh to showcase the fundamentals of the two ancient games. See you all in Cork on 24th October\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Ger Manley added: &#8220;I&#8217;m thrilled to be involved with the Ireland team once more in 2026.
