But one New York-based CEO says he chose a very different path. Despite building a business valued at $45 million, he was paying himself just $40,000. Instead of splurging on expensive cars, watches or other symbols of wealth, he focused on his mission, long-term ambition and the patience he believes young entrepreneurs often overlook.Founder says he built million dollar business The New York-based CEO took to social media and shared that he had “built a $45M (approx Rs 430 cr) business in 4 years” while continuing to pay himself $40,000 (Rs 37 lakh approx). At the time, he said he had no interest in displaying his wealth through a fancy car, an expensive watch or other luxury purchases. His reasoning was simple: he knew exactly what he was working towards and fully believed in what he was building. The contrast between the size of his business and his personal income became central to the lesson he wanted to share with aspiring entrepreneurs.
Parents’ businessThe CEO also reflected on how his approach to business was shaped much earlier in life. At 22, he began working for his parents’ business and spent the next 12 years there. He recalled showing up every day, including Saturdays, and putting in the work consistently. He believes that period allowed him to change the financial trajectory of his parents’ lives, just as they had shaped the course of his own life. For him, the commitment was never simply about earning money. He knew from the beginning that he had a larger “mission” and remained committed to it.
He waited until 34 to start his own ventureRather than rushing to leave his family business, the CEO stayed for more than a decade before eventually deciding to pursue something of his own. He said he was ready to leave and start doing his own thing at 34. That timeline, he suggested, offers an important perspective for younger entrepreneurs who expect rapid success.

He particularly questioned the impatience he sees among people in their mid-20s, saying he finds it amusing when people become frustrated at 26 because their careers or businesses are not moving quickly enough.

His advice to young entrepreneurs: be patientThe central message behind his story is patience. The CEO argued that many people claim to have ambitious, long-term goals while remaining overly focused on immediate results. He believes this creates a contradiction between what entrepreneurs say they want and how they approach their careers. His advice is to think beyond short-term goals and accept that meaningful success can take time. As he put it, “the bigger the ambition, the slower you need to go.”
For him, building a Rs 430 crore business was not about immediately enjoying the financial rewards. It was about staying focused on the larger objective, trusting the process and being willing to delay gratification while working towards something he believed in.
Add as a Reliable and Trusted News Source

Building a business worth hundreds of crores in just four years sounds like the kind of success story…

[15
72,959,265768,191,166960,121394,61,60,265769,265767,265770,265766
post-625966","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-entrepreneurship","tag-business","tag-ceo","tag-ceo-mindset","tag-entrepreneurship","tag-entrepreneurship-lessons","tag-financial-discipline","tag-ie","tag-ireland","tag-long-term-business-goals","tag-patience-in-business","tag-startup-growth-strategies","tag-successful-entrepreneurship
["GET
