Bandai Namco Filmworks<\/a> unveiled the first full promotional video and new visuals for the television anime<\/a> of Kaeru Ch\u014dh\u014dkiteki<\/a>‘s Witch and Mercenary<\/a> (Majo to Y\u014dhei) light novel series on Wednesday. The video announces more cast and staff members, as well as the anime’s April 2027 premiere date.<\/p>\n

Seven Seas Entertainment<\/a> releases<\/a> the novels in English and describes the story:\u00a0<\/p>\n

Nothing in this world is more dangerous than a witch. Shinpei Ezaki<\/a> (Vivy -Fluorite Eye’s Song-<\/a>, Hanebad!<\/a>, Monster Strike The Movie<\/a>) is directing the anime at 8-Bit<\/a>. Taishirou Tanimura<\/a> (Ace of Diamond<\/a>, Sakura Trick<\/a> episode scripts) is in charge of series scripts, Keita Matsumoto (Bungaku Sh\u014djo<\/a> film, Persona 5 the Animation -The Day Breakers-<\/a>, Shining Hearts<\/a>) is designing the characters, Akiko Fujita<\/a> (Dorohedoro<\/a>, The Elusive Samurai<\/a>, Jujutsu Kaisen<\/a>) is the sound director, and Rei Ishizuka<\/a> (A Couple of Cuckoos<\/a>, With You and the Rain<\/a>, PriPara<\/a>) is composing the music at Lantis<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ch\u014dh\u014dkiteki began serializing<\/a> the story on the Sh\u014dsetsuka ni Nar\u014d website in June 2021, and ended it in December 2022. Micro Magazine<\/a> published the first print volume with illustrations by Bench Kanase<\/a> in May 2023. Micro Magazine published the seventh volume on January 20, and will publish the eighth volume on September 24.<\/p>\n

Makoto Miyagi<\/a> launched a manga adaptation of the story on Kodansha<\/a>‘s Magazine Pocket<\/a> manga app in January 2024. Kodansha’s K MANGA<\/a> service is publishing the manga in English.<\/p>\n
