The Indian variant differs slightly from the European version, most notably featuring a higher-capacity battery.<\/p>\n<p>Redmi Note 17 Pro Max: Device Overview<\/p>\n<p>This new release is positioned as a powerful mid-range smartphone with exceptional battery life. Under the hood, it packs a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset, which delivers 21% better performance compared to the previous generation processor. The smartphone comes with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage, with no option for memory expansion.<\/p>\n<p>Display and Performance<\/p>\n<p>The smartphone features a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2772 x 1280 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 2000 nits. The event and sales start are scheduled for September 17, 2026. The device will be available through the official Xiaomi website and other authorized retailers.<\/p>\n<p>Differences Between Indian and European Versions<\/p>\n<p>The main difference between the Indian and European variants is the battery. The Indian version features a massive 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 100W wired charging and 27W reverse wired charging. The European version contains a 9,210mAh battery. In all other respects, the devices are identical.<\/p>\n<p>Redmi Note 17 Pro Max Pricing<\/p>\n<p>The price for the Indian Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G starts at \u20b949,999 (~$521) for the base version with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.<\/p>\n<p>The same European Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G 8\/256 model is offered in Ukraine for 22,999 UAH (~$551). Interestingly, both the 10,000mAh and 9,210mAh models are appearing on Ukrainian retail sites, with some sellers labeling the 10,000mAh version as the global model.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the company announced the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G, starting at \u20b936,999 (~$385).<\/p>\n<p>Features and Additional Details<\/p>\n<p>For photography and video, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is equipped with a dual rear camera system featuring a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. The front camera has a 32MP resolution. Other highlights include an in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, IP66\/IP68\/IP69\/IP69K protection ratings, and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. The device runs on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.
