{"id":626526,"date":"2026-09-16T15:04:15","date_gmt":"2026-09-16T15:04:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/626526\/"},"modified":"2026-09-16T15:04:15","modified_gmt":"2026-09-16T15:04:15","slug":"man-arrested-after-incident-involving-taoiseach-at-ploughing-championships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/626526\/","title":{"rendered":"Man arrested after incident involving Taoiseach at Ploughing Championships"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A MAN WAS arrested on Tuesday following an incident involving Taoiseach Miche\u00e1l Martin.<\/p>\n<p>The incident happened on the first day of the Ploughing Championships in Screggan in Tullamore.<\/p>\n<p>No one was injured.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The man, who is in his 60s, was arrested under the Public Order Act shortly after 12pm.<\/p>\n<p>He was brought to a garda station in Offaly and charged.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He has since been released and will to appear before a sitting of the District Court at a later date.<\/p>\n<p>Garda\u00ed say investigations are ongoing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A MAN WAS arrested on Tuesday following an incident involving Taoiseach Miche\u00e1l Martin.
