\n\tG-Star<\/a> is demonstrating its versatility and cultural relevance through new collaborations and partnerships.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Tuesday, G-Star<\/a> and Wu-Tang Clan, in association with Iconic Artists Group, announced a multi-year collaboration<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe first collection will debut this month, timed with Wu-Tang Clan\u2019s performance at Shaky Knees Festival in Atlanta, before rolling out worldwide in time for their historic induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in November.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Amsterdam-based brand said additional drops, including capsules for women, will launch in 2027.<\/p>\n

\n\tWu-Tang Clan members teased the partnership earlier this year when they wore a limited-edition tour jacket, sourced and embroidered in the Netherlands, onstage in Amsterdam.<\/p>\n

\n\tG-Star<\/a> said the collaboration<\/a> marks a new chapter in how the New York-born hip-hop group\u2019s cultural language is expressed through fashion. Instead of adding Wu-Tang branding to G-Star products, G-Star\u2019s signature washes and silhouettes will be reworked with Wu-Tang detailing, alongside outerwear and knitwear.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWu-Tang built a world out of nothing but skill, code and imagination\u2014that\u2019s the same discipline behind every pair of jeans we make. Atlanta feels like the right place to introduce that to the people,\u201d said Rob Schilder, G-Star CEO.<\/p>\n

\n\tG-Star also released the fourth edition of The Denim <\/a>series, a project where emerging designers are encouraged to push denim beyond convention and use the fabric as a platform for research and new perspectives. This time, the brand partnered with Tombogo, a Los Angeles-based design studio founded by Tommy Bogo.<\/p>\n

\t\t\t\t\tThe Denim 004 Tombogo<\/p>\n

\n\tThe limited-edition jean, called The Denim 004 Tombogo, combines the designer\u2019s industrial, forward-looking aesthetic with G-Star\u2019s utilitarian roots. The unisex jean features a paneled construction with strap-and-buckle elements, concealed pockets beneath the outer layers and gun metal hardware throughout.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe design was inspired by harness boots with buckle straps and how that could be translated to denim. \u201cFor this project, I approached denim through a technical lens, aiming to create something new. Translating the idea of harness straps into a pair of jeans felt like a natural way to bring Tombogo\u2019s design language into denim, while connecting with G-Star\u2019s heritage in utility and construction,\u201d Bogo stated.<\/p>\n

\n\tBogo launched Tombogo in 2020. The studio creates modular products, immersive experiences and cultural moments that extend beyond traditional apparel. In fashion, he\u2019s become known for transformable e garments and wearable technology.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe\u2019re excited to continue The Denim series with Tombogo, a designer who approaches fashion through innovation and purpose. Tommy\u2019s ability to translate complex ideas into wearable design aligns naturally with G-Star\u2019s focus on craftsmanship and experimentation,\u201d said Gwenda van Vliet, G-Star chief brand officer.<\/p>\n

\n\tOther collaborators in G-Star\u2019s The Denim series have included Jacques Agbobly, KNWLS<\/a> and Ottolinger.
