From the Reverend Richard Coles\u2019 new 10\/10 crime drama, Murder Before Evensong<\/a>, to Apple TV+\u2019s smart prison break dama, The Last Frontier<\/a>, there\u2019s a show for almost every autumn mood \u2013 and occasion. And, thanks to us, you don\u2019t have to search hard to find them. So, kick back and relax, because these are the 8 must-watch shows coming to Netflix, ITV, the BBC and more this week. <\/p>\n

HRT, wild sex, corrupt cops\u2026 Happy Valley writer Sally Wainwright\u2019s long-awaited new drama has got it all. Set in Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire, the series centres around five women \u2013 played by the likes of Tamsin Greig<\/a> and Joanna Scanlan – who come together to create a makeshift punk-rock band and enter a local talent content. But when it comes to writing their first song, the women soon discover they have a lot more to say than they first thought. Sally has said she\u2019s \u201cmore excited about this than anything else I have ever written\u201d \u2013 and we are, too! Arriving on BBC One and BBC iPlayer<\/a> at 9pm on Sunday 12th October. <\/p>\n

Channel 5<\/p>\n

Here at GH, we know a good crime drama when we see one and Murder Before Evensong really hits the mark. An adaptation of the Reverend Richard Coles\u2019 10\/10 novel, the six-part Channel 5 drama centres around Canon Daniel Clement (played by Happy Valley<\/a>\u2019s Matthew Lewis), who is Rector of Champton. Living at the Rectory alongside his widowed mother Audrey (New Tricks\u2019 Amanda Redman) – and two dachshunds – life is somewhat predictable. Or at least is it until he announces a plan to install a lavatory in church, the parish suddenly becomes divided, and a body is found at the back of the church. We did say it was good! Arriving on Channel 5<\/a> on Tuesday 7th October.<\/p>\n

Film Club\"film<\/p>\n

There are so many reasons to watch this new BBC rom-com \u2013 firstly, Suranne Jones (need we say more?), but also the return of The White Lotus\u2019s Amy Lou Wood to our screens and the perhaps even more exciting return of Adolescence<\/a>\u2019s breakout star Owen Cooper. The six-part drama introduces us to agoraphobic Evie (Aimee Lou Wood), who hasn\u2019t left the house in six months after a “wobble”. Film Club, however, is her escape – a weekly chance to create a world of wonder, deck the garage out in whatever the film<\/a> calls for and spend a few hours with her best friend, Noa (Nabhaan Rizwan). Only Noa has just landed his dream job across the country\u2026 Arriving on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer<\/a> at 10pm on Tuesday 7th October.<\/p>\n

The Celebrity Traitors \"claudia<\/p>\n

Faithfuls and traitors, the time has come \u2013 The Celebrity Traitors is here! Claudia Winkleman is returning to the castle along with 19 celebrity contestants, including Stephen Fry, Kate Garraway, Clare Balding and Jonathan Ross. Who\u2019s our money on to win? Despite having raised concerns that she might be too trusting, we have a feeling Clare Balding is going to be good at this\u2026 Arriving on BBC One and BBC iPlayer<\/a> at 9pm on Wednesday 8th October. <\/p>\n

Victoria Beckham\"victoria<\/p>\n

First we had David Beckham\u2019s Emmy award-winning Netflix documentary series, Beckham, and now Victoria Beckham\u2019s very own edition is on the way. The three-parter gives us a front row seat as Victoria prepares for the fashion show of her life, while taking us behind the scenes of the life of the Spice Girl turned fashion icon. We\u2019ll also get a glimpse of family life along the way and, let\u2019s face it, that\u2019s what we\u2019re really all here for. Arriving on Netflix<\/a> on Thursday 9th October. <\/p>\n

The Last Frontier\"the<\/p>\n

If you enjoyed Lost or Prison Break, The Last Frontier is one for you. Set in the depths of the Alaskan wilderness, the 10-part drama follows US marshal Frank Remnick (Jason Clarke), the lone law enforcement officer in an isolated town. When a plane full of violent inmates crashes in the remote wilderness, setting them free in the process, he\u2019s tasked with protecting the community he\u2019s meant to be keeping safe. And – as he comes to suspect – the crash was no accident, but the opening move in a chilling plan. Arriving on Apple TV+<\/a> on Friday 10th October. <\/p>\n

Ellen Pompeo is reprising her iconic role as Meredith Grey as the medical drama enters its 22nd series. The series 21 finale saw her caught up in a terrifying and potentially fatal explosion and according to showrunner Meg Marinis, the new instalment is set to be pretty emotional. “If we can get the writers upset, then we know we’re doing it right,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s supposed to make people upset [when someone dies]… it’s not as satisfying a story if people aren\u2019t upset when someone leaves.” Arriving on Disney+<\/a>on Friday 10th October. <\/p>\n

The Woman in Cabin 10 \"the<\/p>\n

Ok, so we\u2019re cheating with this one as admittedly, it\u2019s a film, but we couldn\u2019t not mention it. The adaptation of Ruth Ware’s bestselling novel of the same name revolves around a journalist (played by Keira Knightley) who\u2019s on board a luxury cruise and happens to witness a murder while on there. The problem is, nobody believes her, because every passenger who boarded the ship is accounted for. Cue a wildly brilliant guessing game that’ll have you on tenterhooks. Arriving on Netflix<\/a> on Friday 10thOctober. <\/p>\n
