\n\tCarly Rae Jepsen<\/a> is searching for the perfect party in the music video for her new single \u201cVersailles.\u201d The song, off the singer\u2019s new double LP Day and Night<\/a>, was inspired by Sofia Coppola\u2019s film\u00a0Marie Antoinette. Jepsen wrote the track with Elias Kapari, Noonie Bao, and Markus Kruneg\u00e5rd, with production by Kapari.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tThe music video for \u201cVersailles\u201d was filmed in Los Angeles and directed by Kanya Iwana. It sees Jepsen dancing at a party as she imagines herself at the famous French chateau. <\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI wanna party in Versailles\/ I wanna see it in the nighttime,\u201d she croons over the beat. \u201cWe\u2019ll go all night just to feel something\/ And then we\u2019ll lose our heads\/ For the people we\u2019ve forgotten\/ Marie Antoinette but modern.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tDay and Night, Jepsen\u2019s first album of new music since 2023\u2019s The Loveliest Time, dropped today. The singer previously shared several tracks, including a music video for ABBA-inspired song \u201cDon\u2019t Leave Me on the Dance Floor.\u201d<\/a> The album features 24 tracks, with each LP comprising 12 songs corresponding to the\u00a0Day and Night\u00a0theme. <\/p>\n \t\tTrending Stories<\/p>\n \n\tJepsen began dropping hints of a new album in June. Keeping with the\u00a0Day and Night\u00a0theme, her\u00a0official website<\/a>\u00a0played snippets of two different instrumentals (for 12 hours each) on June 1; one of the tracks being \u201cAfter All.\u201d Later, she began posting postcard-like images twice a day to her\u00a0social media accounts<\/a>\u00a0on June 11, captioned by a lyric, location, and timestamp.<\/p>\n \n\tOn Sept. 27, Jepsen will play a special sunset set at New York City\u2019s All Things Go Festival, marking her first live performance of the year.<\/p>\n \t
