Last night at the 3Arena’s Studio, Ireland’s movers and shakers gathered to celebrate the return of Ireland Fashion Week (7\u201312 October 2026).<\/p>\n

Under the theme of ‘Coming Home: An Island in Motion’, the celebrations began with the release of a new campaign, which brought together eight leading figures from Irish film, music, fashion, sport and culture against the extraordinary Atlantic landscape of Roundstone, Connemara.<\/p>\n

Photographed by internationally acclaimed Irish photographer Damian Foxe, the creative project launches the countdown to Ireland Fashion Week, which returns with eight shows and more than 90 designers.<\/p>\n

The launch features actor Jamie-Lee O\u2019Donnell; racing driver Max Hart; Irish fashion icon Celia Holman Lee; Ireland Fashion Week Model of the Year Marwa Noelle Ali; musicians Travy and Abdu Huss, known as KhakiKid; digital creator Lauren Whelan; and actor and model Ivana Mili\u010devi\u0107.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the theme of the shoot, Ashley McDonnell, Founder of Ireland Fashion Week, says: “We wouldn’t have been able to pull off last year without all the people that came – sometimes with 10, 20, 30 years of experience abroad – home, and you can really see that in this campaign.”<\/p>\n

Speaking further on the theme, Ashley said: “We wanted this to feel both familiar and unexpected. To capture the Ireland we know and love while showing the confidence, diversity and creative energy shaping the country today.<\/p>\n

“Each person involved brings their own story and interpretation of home, but together they represent an Ireland that is proud of its roots and excited about its future.”<\/p>\n

Actor Jamie-Lee O’Donnell said she was thrilled to return home to celebrate the second iteration of Ireland Fashion Week.<\/p>\n

“They’ve included more graduates, more designers, more locations,” she said of this year’s offering. “I’m really excited; the energy is really positive and really electric, and everybody looks like absolute rides – that’s a quote!”<\/p>\n

She added: “Being part of this campaign feels incredibly special. The landscape in Connemara is unmistakably Irish, but the fashion and creative direction show a country that is constantly evolving and redefining itself. I\u2019m genuinely proud to help launch it.”<\/p>\n

This year, the Ireland Fashion Week City Hall show will spotlight the internationally respected Irish designer Sin\u00e9ad O\u2019Dwyer, whose progressive approach to inclusivity, representation and innovative pattern-cutting is redefining contemporary luxury.<\/p>\n

“The thing I’m most looking forward to this year is welcoming an amazing Irish designer home,” said Ashley. “We have the incredible Sinead O’Dwyer coming back to Dublin; she’s got that City Hall show, that incredible space, and what an honour for us to welcome Sinead back.<\/p>\n

“She has been celebrated all over the world; she has two of her pieces in the Met Museum right now, she has just been celebrated in the V&A in London, the British Fashion Council has celebrated her for many years as well. It’s a real honour and a privilege to be able to welcome Sinead O’Dwyer back home to City Hall this year.”<\/p>\n

The six-day programme will also feature Brother Wolf by P\u00e1draig Whelehn, Mn\u00e1 by Sarah Plunkett Chadwick, Aoife McNamara, Sasha Donnellan, Bold Golf and RASHHIIID.<\/p>\n

The opening Irish Roots show at St Helen\u2019s will showcase established and emerging Irish labels, while Damhsa, the graduate show, will bring more than 40 designers to the RDS.<\/p>\n

The Irish Edit showroom at 1 Windmill Quarter will present a further 30 designers.<\/p>\n

Stylist Brian Conway selected looks from designers taking part in Ireland Fashion Week 2026, including Paul Costelloe, Sasha Donnellan, Triona, Magee 1866, Louis Copeland, Jack Murphy and Alacoque Daly, among others.<\/p>\n

“They gave me a list of 150 designers to call in from for the campaign,” Conway explained. “I had to research them all to see what would work best, so I was actually really overwhelmed by how much talent there is and how many designers.”<\/p>\n
