Two 18-year-old podcasters from Dublin bagged an exclusive interview with Oprah Winfrey before her sold-out 3Arena event.<\/p>\n
The media mogul was in Ireland to hold her sold-out event – Up Close with Oprah Winfrey.<\/p>\n
The Back of the Classroom Podcast duo, Glen Anderson and Ben Hanlon, spoke to Ms Winfrey inside the Merrion Hotel before her show on Monday.<\/p>\n
It happened because Glen took a chance and approached the TV host’s longtime friend and colleague Gayle King with his interview pitch after spotting her outside the hotel.<\/p>\n
“I know if you met me, you’d like me. It’s just a backpack and a dream that’s all it is,” Glen told Oprah.<\/p>\n
After seeing the video, she decided to have a conversation with the pair.<\/p>\n
Both have just finished secondary school and have already interviewed big names like boxing promotor Eddie Hearn and Lord of the Dance creator Michael Flatley.<\/p>\n
They say want to become the biggest podcast in the world.<\/p>\n
