The TV series that helps rebuild people’s lives by rebuilding their homes returns to RT\u00c9\u00a0One and RTE Player this Sunday evening.<\/p>\n
Presented by Baz Ashmawy, RTE’s\u00a0<\/a>DIY SOS: The Big Build Ireland\u00a0features a very deserving family from Clare<\/a> who will feature in an upcoming episode of the show.<\/p>\n Three other families will also get much needed help who are from Kilkenny, Dublin and Wicklow. The families each\u00a0face difficult personal circumstances and need help to improve their quality of life.<\/p>\n In\u00a0The Big Build Ireland,\u00a0each family\u00a0gets a significant home renovation –\u00a0all through goodwill and\u00a0delivered in just nine days. The battalions of high-vis vests and hard hats are corralled and cajoled by Baz, who, as always, keeps\u00a0spirits high and tensions low as teams work into the night to realise these impressive constructions and overhauls.<\/p>\n Presenter\u00a0Baz Ashmawy\u00a0said:\u00a0“The way the world is now with so many terrible things going on, I think it’s really important to\u00a0witness good people doing great\u00a0things for others. Showing kindness and empathy\u00a0feels more important than ever, and really that’s\u00a0the whole essence\u00a0of this series.”\u00a0<\/p>\n In the first episode, which airs this Sunday evening, Baz visits nine-year-old Cayden who was born with a condition called Arthrogryposis, which affects his hands and feet. Cayden also has scoliosis and requires multiple surgeries each year and will continue to do so until his late teens. Cayden lives in Killinarden, Tallaght in Dublin with his Mam Sinead, Dad Ronald and 15-year-old brother Ethan.<\/p>\n
