Safe Ireland Cavan\/Monaghan offered support to 297 women and three men during 2025.<\/p>\n
The age of those who availed of the service in 2025 ranged from 15 to 82 and during 2025 Safe Ireland also provided a total of 2,300 interventions.<\/p>\n
Over 81% of the victims that Safe Ireland Cavan\/Monaghan supported have been between the ages of 26 and 55, with the largest cohort of over 20% aged between the ages of 41 and 45.<\/p>\n
Christine Lodge is the Interim Chief Executive Officer of Safe Ireland.<\/p>\n
Christine also revealed stark figures outlining that approximately 1 in 3 women aged 15 and older have been subjected to physical or sexual violence
in their lifetime, mostly by an intimate partner.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Northern Sound, Christine believes a whole of society and a whole Government response is needed with collective responsibility.<\/p>\n
