Madonna<\/a> has announced a new collaboration with Charli XCX<\/a> \u2013 check out a snippet of \u2018Danceteria Afterhours\u2019 below.<\/p>\n

The Queen Of Pop has reworked \u2018Danceteria\u2019 from her recent album \u2018Confessions II\u2019<\/a> with the \u2018Music, Fashion, Film\u2019<\/a> singer.\u00a0A preview video of the forthcoming team-up sees the pair dancing in a white studio space, with Madonna asking: \u201cYou wanna talk about Madonna and Charli?\u201d<\/p>\n

She then repeats the duo\u2019s names and delivers a line from the original song: \u201cEveryone here is a work of art.\u201d\u00a0Charli also trades vocals with Madge, who is wearing a red hoodie featuring a photo of herself in the \u201980s. \u201cLet\u2019s take it to the East side baby\u2026,\u201d the caption of the post reads.<\/p>\n

Madonna has confirmed that \u2018Danceteria Afterhours\u2019 with Charli XCX will be out next Thursday (September 24).<\/p>\n

The news of Madonna\u2019s next collab comes on the heels of her joining forces with Kylie Minogue on \u2018Love Sensation (Afterhours Mix)\u2019<\/a>. Fans are now speculating that a full \u2018Confessions II\u2019 remix album could be in the works, similar to Charli\u2019s guest-heavy \u2018Brat\u2019 reimagining<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Madonna shared a TikTok<\/a> last week of herself in a taxi, along with the caption: \u201cThinking about Charli\u2026\u201d In the comments section, the \u2018Wink Wink\u2019<\/a> artist replied: \u201cWait\u2026 I got something I wanna talk about\u2026\u201d, referencing \u2018Confessions II\u2019.<\/p>\n

Over the summer, Charli spoke about her relationship with Madonna, saying the pair had enjoyed \u201ca mini-break together, essentially\u201d in Paris<\/a>. At the time, Charli denied<\/a> that she had worked on a new song with Madonna when asked by BBC Radio 6 Music\u2019s Nick Grimshaw.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve met before in the past but I don\u2019t know that she knows that \u2013 but we were put together on a group text just a couple of weeks ago, which is obviously insane,\u201d she told the host.<\/p>\n

This ended rumours of there being beef between the two artists, which began when Madonna referenced Charli\u2019s lyric \u201cthe dancefloor is dead\u201d from her single \u2018Rock Music\u2019<\/a>. \u201cIf your dance floor feels dead, maybe you\u2019re playing the wrong music,\u201d she wrote on social media.<\/p>\n

However,\u00a0the duo were later spotted together in Paris<\/a>. Speaking further about the experience, Charli recalled: \u201cWe actually accidentally threw two parties. She\u2019s very like\u2026 I mean, she\u2019s so cool. And she is so interested in really talking about the music that she makes, and how and why, and I found it very inspiring to hang out with her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Charli also admitted that she wasn\u2019t necessarily a Madonna fan when she was younger, but came to appreciate her work more deeply as she grew older.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think when I became a bit more interested in how music is art and artful \u2013 I think that\u2019s when I began my Madonna time,\u201d she went on. \u201cMy first big song that I fell in love with of hers was \u2018Hollywood\u2019. That song really hit me in a way.\u201d<\/p>\n

Charli is currently out on the North American leg of her \u2018Music, Fashion, Film\u2019 tour<\/a>, following her headline sets at Reading & Leeds<\/a> last month. The trek kicked off on September 11 in Philadelphia<\/a>, where she played the surprise track \u2018Stay Away\u2019 from her 2013 debut album \u2018True Romance\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Shortly after announcing the tour, Charli told fans why there were only a limited number of gigs on the run<\/a>, explaining that \u201ctouring is really emotionally and physically hard for me\u201d.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Madonna is set to perform at the MTV VMAs next week<\/a>, marking her first live appearance at the ceremony in 23 years. She leads the way with the most nominations this year<\/a>, having earned 11 (including Video Of The Year for\u00a0the star-studded\u00a0Confessions II \u2013 The Film<\/a>).<\/p>\n
