{"id":629750,"date":"2026-09-19T17:13:20","date_gmt":"2026-09-19T17:13:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/629750\/"},"modified":"2026-09-19T17:13:20","modified_gmt":"2026-09-19T17:13:20","slug":"european-statistical-monitor-september-edition-news-articles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/629750\/","title":{"rendered":"European Statistical Monitor: September edition &#8211; News articles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ecl-u-type-paragraph\">Today, Eurostat released the <a class=\"ecl-link\" href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/eurostat\/cache\/dashboard\/european-statistical-monitor\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">European Statistical Monitor<\/a>, a dashboard with monthly and quarterly indicators covering different areas, such as economy, environment, business, health and work.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ecl-u-type-paragraph\">This monthly updated dashboard is designed to track developments within the <a class=\"ecl-link\" href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/eurostat\/statistics-explained\/index.php?title=Glossary:European_Union_(EU)\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">EU<\/a> as a whole and its members, as well as the <a class=\"ecl-link\" href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/eurostat\/statistics-explained\/index.php?title=Glossary:European_Free_Trade_Association_(EFTA)\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">EFTA<\/a> countries, providing a holistic overview of key developments. The accompanying Eurostat commentary on the latest developments and the key trends can be accessed by clicking the yellow button located in the top-left corner.<\/p>\n<p>Inflation rises, while the EU economy continues to grow and the labour market remains robust<\/p>\n<p class=\"ecl-u-type-paragraph\">The EU economy continued to grow, while inflation edges further. Meanwhile, economic sentiment improved, moving closer to its long-term average.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ecl-u-type-paragraph\">The labour market maintained a broadly stable picture, with employment reaching a historic high. Both unemployment and labour market slack remained unchanged, while the job vacancy rate decreased slightly. The number of first-time asylum seekers decreased.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ecl-u-type-paragraph\">Looking at monthly business and trade indicators, industrial production, retail trade volume and production in services all recorded mild monthly declines.
