Hollywood is showing out this weekend to celebrate the opening of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, George Lucas hosted friends like Oprah Winfrey, Guillermo Del Toro, Laura Dern, Mark Hamill, Spike Lee, Greta Gerwig and more to celebrate the launch of his 11-acre campus, which features galleries, two theaters, a library, a restaurant, a caf\u00e9, a retail store and dedicated community areas.<\/p>\n

Also walking the red carpet at the museum\u2019s Exposition Park residence were Nicolas Cage, Tracee Ellis Ross, Queen Latifah, Eva Longoria, George R.R. Martin and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass.<\/p>\n

Opening Tuesday, Sept. 22 to the public, the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art features Lucas\u2019 40,000-piece art collection, including familiar pieces by illustrators; mural paintings of the 20th and 21st centuries; comic art, of which the museum has deep and extensive holdings; children\u2019s book illustrations; science-fiction illustrations; and the fantastic visions captured in 20th-century culture. The museum will also display cinematic artifacts, including movie posters, and show documentaries featuring artists and filmmakers.<\/p>\n
